New to Mountain Biking? Curious about Joining a Team?
This free, beginner-friendly event is a great way for 5th–12th grade students and their families to explore what mountain biking with NICA is all about. No experience is necessary!
Hosted by local youth mountain bike teams in the Houston area, this “Try It Out” ride gives you a chance to:
Discover how to get involved with a team near you
Meet friendly coaches and student-athletes
Learn basic bike skills in a safe, supportive environment
Take part in a relaxed, no-pressure trail ride
Event Schedule
10:00–11:00 a.m. — Beginner Skills Clinic
11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Group Trail Ride for All Skill Levels
What to Bring
- A working bike (need one? Let us know—we may have loaners)
- A helmet
- Water
- Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes
- A positive attitude and a sense of adventure
Who Can Attend?
- Students in grades 5–12
- Parents/guardians are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend, learn more, and connect with local coaches
