Saturday
Friends and family race
We tried something new at Rock the Pines! For the first time ever, we teamed up with the DFW Series to turn a NICA race weekend into something even bigger: a place where the whole family rode, raced, and cheered each other on.
DFW Series offered junior and adult categories on Saturday, bringing 100 friends and family members out to race on the same course as the NICA races on Sunday. That meant we had junior, student, and adult categories all rolling through the same forest, making Rock the Pines a true community ride! Same pine trees, more start lines, and way more high-fives.
GUEST RACERS FROM OK NICA
We were also excited to host several coaches and athletes from the OK NICA league. All were thrilled to join the DFW Series and NICA races! They even taught us a few things. One key takeaway? The boys from Oklahoma roll their bikes all wrong… 🎶
