About Texas NICA
Texas NICA empowers 5th–12th grade student-athletes through mountain biking. Our goal is to build strong minds, bodies, character, and communities—one pedal stroke at a time. From first-time racers to experienced riders, everyone has a place here.
Important Registration Information
Texas NICA races are open only to registered student-athletes. All riders must complete their season registration and pay the Program Fee before joining practices or attending events.
The Program Fee covers your entire season—including coaching, insurance, and six weekends of racing and adventure programming.
What to Expect
Race weekends are more than just racing. Expect:
- Pre-rides & Course Previews – Get familiar with the trails.
- Adventure & GRiT Rides – Explore fun group rides and community activities.
- Team Camps – Bring your tents and spend the weekend together.
- Volunteer Opportunities – It takes a village to make race weekends happen.
- Podiums & High-Fives – Celebrate the effort, not just the results.

Since its roots as a high school race league in California in 2009, NICA has grown to a network of 32 leagues implementing a wide range of youth development programs. From trail stewardship to initiatives to get more girls and women on bikes, NICA’s programs meet kids where they’re at. Every rider has a place in NICA.
