Austin Area NICA Ride

About this RIDe

The Lake Travis Mountain Bike Team invites all Austin area NICA teams to join us for a ride at Pace Bend Park! Riders will be matched up according to their skill level and have the opportunity to explore the park with guided rides. This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow NICA teams and coaches. Trek Bicycle will be on site handing out prizes and assisting with general bike maintenance. Hope to see you there!

Group 1: beginning and younger riders 8-10mph, for one hour of riding (4-6 miles) and then skills work and games. 

Probably riding the green loop (see below)

Group 2: intermediate riders, 10-12 mph, up to two hours riding, but some stops and sectioning or skills work. Many of our upper middle schoolers are here. May ride combination of green loop and blue loop variations.

Group 3: faster riders, usually fast freshman and JV2, 12-14 mph.Two hours riding, minimal breaks. Blue loop mostly.

Group 4: JV1 and varsity.  14-20mph, two hours, no stopping. Blue loop mostly.

Take the first right after you enter the park and make your way to Mudd Cove.
