In February 2021, Trek introduced the Pathfinders Scholarship to bring greater diversity, equity, and inclusion to youth mountain biking by providing bikes, gear, and resources to overcome historical to the sport.
Since then, NICA has received almost 1,000 individual applications from student athletes representing 97 teams from over 26 states, and after an intense review process, we awarded 500 of those applicants with Pathfinder Scholarships.
No bench. No tryouts. Everybody rides!
Scholarship Information – Spring 2025
Important Dates:
- August 15, 2024: Application opens
- September 13, 2024: Application closes
- October 8, 2024: Scholarship recipients notified (at the earliest)
- November 8, 2024: Deadline for submitting scholarship information to receive bikes by the start of the season
- December 9, 2024: Final deadline for providing scholarship information, incomplete scholarships will be forfeited
