DESCRIPTION:Try-it-Out / Take A Kid Mountain Biking\n\n\n\nPresented by Trek & TX NICA\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us Saturday October 5th for our Take A Kid Mountain Biking event in partnership with TX NICA at Erwin Park in McKinney\, TX. \n\n\n\nThis event is oriented towards Middle School and High School age kids (5th Grade through 12th grade) of all levels. \n\n\n\nThe objective of this event is to also provide a platform for students who want to get involved in mountain biking\, and that want to learn about racing/training on a team. The TX NICA team will be in attendance with coaches from the local teams. \n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n\n8:30 a.m. Check-in\n\n\n\n9 a.m. Safety Briefing and Separate groups (beginner\, intermediate and advanced)\n\n\n\n9:15 a.m. Ride starts\n\n\n\n11:00 a.m. Ride ends\n\n\n\n\nEquipment required\n\n\n\n\nBicycle and helmet\n\n\n\nClosed-toe shoes\n\n\n\nWater bottle or hydration pack\n\n\n\nEye protection\n\n\n\n\nDon’t have a bike!? We’ll have a few there for riders to try!

SUMMARY:Adventure Training - McKinney
DESCRIPTION:Learn to build teams that foster relationships and trust\, while developing leadership and communications skills in your student-athletes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdventure is a NICA curriculum for the social and emotional development of student-athletes and teams. This course teaches coaches how to create a progression of activities and experiences that provide youth the space to pursue challenges and self-growth. You’ll learn how to set team expectations\, how to sequence activities across a season\, and how to adapt activities for different ages and abilities. \n\n\n\nThe class is a mix of on-the-bike and off-the-bike activities\, so bring your wheels and helmet along with water and a snack. \n\n\n\nYou must be registered in PitZone and have a current NICA waiver and membership fee paid. The course costs $25\, which covers the Adventure Field Guide you will receive upon completion. Participants will also receive six CEUs in PitZone. \n\n\n\nThe class will be led by Texas Adventure Coordinator\, Kevin de Miranda.
