SUMMARY:OTB 101 @ Leader Summit
DESCRIPTION:There will be two OTB 101 options available at no cost for coaches attending the 2023 Leader Summit!  \n\n\n\n\nRegister for the Leader Summit\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOption 1\n\n\n\nFriday\, 2:00-5:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\nOption 2\n\n\n\nSunday\, Noon-3:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\nOn The Bike 101 is a required course to become a Level 2 Coach. You must be registered as a coach in PitZone\, with your NICA membership fee paid and NICA participant waiver signed. The cost of the course is usually $25 but is being offered free of charge for those registered for the 2023 Leader Summit.  \n\n\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, a Certificate of Completion will be uploaded into your Pit Zone account. The class will be led by Texas League Coach Supporter\, Lynnette Wood Remember that space is limited\, and reservations are on a first-come\, first-served basis. DESCRIPTION:Leader Summit Resource Page \n\n\n\nWe’ve created a page for you to follow-along on Saturday and share with your coaches following the summit.  \n\n\n\n\nGet the Goods!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us at Dinosaur Valley RV Park! \n\n\n\nThe Texas NICA Leader Summit is an annual conference that gathers team and league leaders to actively discuss the upcoming season and exchange best practices for initiating\, expanding\, and overseeing youth mountain biking teams. Enjoy a weekend of training\, connecting\, and biking fun! Join us to meet other coaches\, complete your level three coach licensing requirements\, and learn about the details of the League’s transition to two conferences.  \n\n\n\nRECRUITING: New at this year’s Leader Summit: All attendees will have access to athlete recruiting resources like informational postcards\, stickers\, yard signs\, Canva templates and more! \n\n\n\nSOCIAL RIDE: Join us Saturday evening for the Paluxy Pedal All About Gravel Ride. Fee for Leader Summit attendees and their families is only $10 (Usually $45). Bring your own lights! \n\n\n\nNICA FIRST AID: First Aid registration links are now live. This is the lowest rate offered in recent history at only $65 for the full course. The first half of the session is virtual and the second half will be Sunday afternoon at the Leader Summit venue. This meets level 2 and level 3 coach licensing requirements.  \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLodging\n\n\n\nA limited number of tent and RV campsites are available at Dinosaur Valley RV Park at a greatly reduced rate for Leader Summit attendees.  You must reserve spaces through the league website links to receive discounted rates.  \n\n\n\nHotel or other offsite lodging is not included and must be booked separately.  \n\n\n\n\n\nCheck-in \n\n\n\n\nIf you are registered for OTB 101 on Friday\, you can check in as early as 10:00 am.\n\n\n\nCheck-in for all others opens at 3:00 pm on Friday. \n\n\n\nLate check-in: If you plan to arrive after 9:00 pm on Friday\, please respond to this email with your ETA so we can make sure your campsite is available when you arrive. \n\n\n\nIf you are not camping at the venue\, please join us for the Friday evening social and then check in on Saturday morning for the conference. \n\n\n\nALL VISITORS:  Wristbands are REQUIRED during your stay and car tags must be VISIBLE at all times. Even if you are not camping\, but sure you and any guests check in with league staff on arrival at the venue. The property is monitored by staff and State Park police.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCampsite Rules\n\n\n\n\nDinosaur Valley is under a burn ban and no open flames are allowed. \n\n\n\nPets are allowed in the campsites but must be on a leash and must be cleaned up after. \n\n\n\nPets are not allowed in the event center or pool areas. \n\n\n\n\nCampsite Activities \n\n\n\n\nBoth pools (adult & family pool) are open! Hours are 9:00 am to dark. \n\n\n\nBarnyard Hours: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm\n\n\n\nMovie night at Family pool: Friday 7:30 pm \n\n\n\nPumpkins painting Saturday at the office: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:This expert-level program is designed for the person who needs or desires more first aid training than that for Basic First Aid certification\, but not to the level of Emergency Medical Response. Perfect for corporate emergency response teams\, this course presents many of the most common illnesses and injuries responders are likely to encounter. \n\n\n\nThis course will take place in TWO session.
